台灣藝術家張益昇(1981~)，畢業於台藝大書畫藝術系碩士班。目前任職四川農業大學環境設計系講師。人與城市環境之間的關係，一直是益昇在繪畫時思考的方向，因為教學的關係，益昇不斷地往返於重慶與成都之間，因為移動的關係，變得連自己的內心也分不清是虛是實，是夢境或是現實。益昇利用黑色與金色的對比效果，做出視覺的反差感。
益昇經歷過表現城市建築物之間的光影效果及歲月的累積，與生活居住地的轉換之後，開始注重抽象與視覺的平衡，並開始逐漸减少用筆的形式感，利用其他複合媒材的方式與基底的處理，呈現畫面的特殊效果，基本上捨棄用筆，用壓、印、拓、染等形式營造水氣蒸融的感覺，自然而樸素，不刻意的精雕細琢，讓畫面中的建築物體成了有機的生命體，形成一種的奇妙氛圍。
